I used a textured background layer to bring out the wall and pavement to give them a bit more feeling. Then I masked out the layer around the coke can to bring it to the forefront. I was using Toolwiz on the phone to create the background layer…

Palos Verdes to Santa Monica by Mike Hope

A hike up in the Palos Verdes hills on a Sunday afternoon just after the rains. The walk is magnificent and when you approach the peak you get a vista from Long Beach to Santa Monica with Los Angeles and the mountains in the background. I used the Sony A7Rii and a Canon 40mm with EOS to NEX adapter and shot with panorama effect.

I was walking off some of the Christmas goodies and getting some fresh air and a little exercise around Hermosa Beach. There was only a few surfers around the pier and not much of a swell but caught this shot before heading off home. Hope you like it.
