Just thought I’d let you know that some of my photo’s are now up on 500px Prime. It’s a new site from 500px and thought you might like to take a look and let me know what you think. Of course unless you want to license a photo don’t buy anything!!! Hi all,
I know I posted the sun up photo in October last year but since then I just revisited some of the shots I took and found three shots in sequence with different shutter speeds from a slightly different angle than the first photo. I put them into Lightroom and used LR/Enfuse to blend them together. Then did a little work in Photoshop to bring out the depth. I have placed some small pictures of the individual shots before I processed them and you can see the difference with the final output. Thought you might like to take a look at how it came out!!
Bye the way, I was using my old Canon 60D and a rental Canon 24-105MM F/4 lens. I rented the Lens from LensRentals.com a great place to try before you by and get the lowdown on all the equipment! One thing I really needed was a sturdy tripod and to remember to use mirror lock-up.

It’s a little late this month but here are the  home sales in  South Redondo Beach (area 155) for January this year. You can see a slowing trend but only to be expected after the holiday season. I am taking more shots with the Canon 6D and 24 – 105mm lens as well as the Canon EOS-M, which is great for quick shots on the go. I am really liking the 6D and am going to take a few more shots with the 40mm pancake. This is a fun lens for portrait and DOF shots. Real sharp for a great price too!! Now here is something on a much lighter note. I ride by here most weekends and have been watching the progress with interest. I think it is really great that people with so much talent are able to bring that little bit of joy into our lives and surroundings. The Redondo Harbor Drive Mosaic Wall Project…
… is just one of them and the artists, Patrice Linnett and Deborah Collette, are working their magic on the wall.  If you havn’t seen it you should check it out.  Also, the steps on the Avenue of the Arts on Redondo Pier. I was amazed at this and admire it everytime I walk or ride by. I stopped there the other day and took the picture below of my daughter Roxanna with the mosaic steps in the background.

I thought you might like to take a look at this photo I took at the Disney Exhibit of the Tron Motorcycle. I gave it some black and white and linear poster treatment. It was a very low light shot with no flash, but I think the noise adds to the grungy effect. What do you think? Fun making it and I may post some other renditions!! Â Thanks for checking it out.
