I just wanted to share this with you if you are hankering after better quality audio to sooth your tired ears this might just be for you!!
This is from the CSM on Pono and I’m right there with em, well maybe not the Christian side but certainly I’m all for the HD music stuff!!!

I just wanted to tell you about a great place to learn all those musical skills you have always wanted to develop, Sunset Learning Studio. This is a wonderful learning studios situated in Redondo Beach. The studios have been set up by two wonderful and talanted friends of mine who have created a community feel where learning to express your musical talents is not only fulfilling but full of fun too. Sunset Learning Studios:
The Sunset Learning Studio was founded by South Bay musician, Dan Jenks.
After attending the University of Evansville as a trombone Performance Major, Dan toured the US for many years on the east coast as a multi-instumentalist (guitar, sax, flute, keys, and singer-songwriter). As a freelance music arranger in New York City, he became hooked on studio recording. Eighteen years ago, Dan moved to California and opened his private recording studio in Redondo Beach. As a music producer, Dan has recorded, arranged and produced over 70 albums.
More recently, he opened the local and online music store called My Gear Guy (www.mygearguy.com) in the same business complex as his recording studio. My Gear Guy continues to be a great source for music gear and technical advice for local musicians.
As a member of our music community, Dan saw a need for a special kind of music instruction in the South Bay. Together with his wife, Nicola McGillicuddy, the Sunset Learning Studio has been created to offer music students an EXCEPTIONAL learning experience – right here, in the South Bay!
The Sunset Learning Studio offers private lessons and music classes in voice (vocals), guitar, drums, piano, bass, and music technology – including Pro Tools, Cubase, Sonar, Logic, Studio Recording, and Modern Music Production.

Hi All,
I was passing by Calico Ghost Town the other week on the way back from Vegas and decided to stop by. It was just around five in the afternoon and the sun was getting low. Most people had left for the day and we just managed to slip in. It was great, quiet and a just a little creepy!! This is an old silver mining town in the Californian Mojave desert off Interstate 15. A great place to get some photos of a bit of western history!! I have posted some up on my 500PX site and on fine art site too.

Calico is a ghost town and former mining town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Located in the Calico Mountains of the Mojave Desert region of Southern California, it was founded in 1881 as a silver mining town, and today has been converted into a county park. Located off Interstate 15, it lies 3 miles (4.8 km) from Barstow and 3 miles from Yermo. Giant lettersspelling CALICO can be seen on the Calico Peaks behind the ghost town from the freeway. Walter Knott purchased Calico in 1950s, architecturally restoring all but the five remaining original buildings to look as they did in 1880s. Calico received California Historical Landmark #782

I am taking more shots with the Canon 6D and 24 – 105mm lens as well as the Canon EOS-M, which is great for quick shots on the go. I am really liking the 6D and am going to take a few more shots with the 40mm pancake. This is a fun lens for portrait and DOF shots. Real sharp for a great price too!! Prices crept up too… The forcast for the new year is for a slight slowing trend but with the anticipated rise in interest rates there is still a push to get that bargain buy! Hi All,
Took this by the Manhattan Beach Pier last weekend. I was on a bike ride with my new Canon 6D (Gotta Luv it!!) and 24-105mm L series. Wow what a difference a full frame makes!! I was absolutely blown away with the depth of color and clarity!! I am really happy with the camera and am going to be experimenting with the different functions and lenses. Course it’s a whole different game now and I really have to save the pennies for those Canon lenses. Have to try some of the off market and bargains just for the fun of it. Just got the very reasonable 40mm Pancake and havn’t tried it yet. Better for street and portraits, so they say!! I will update you when I have a chance to try it out!!
